COUNTRY BAND BLUE COUNTY RETURNS TO THE CRITERION THEATRE AND ARTS CENTER BAR HARBOR, Maine - (September 8, 2008 ) Back by popular demand, the country band BLUE COUNTY will be taking the Criterion stage on Saturday, September 27th at 8PM. This will be the third year that Blue County has performed at the Criterion and each year it has gotten more crowded and more fun. Benward and Reeves have opened for Carrie Underwood and Craig Morgan this summer and look forward to returning to Bar Harbor. "The Blue County performance is becoming a much anticipated fall event in Bar Harbor," said organizer Kim Swan. "Things got busy and we had not made arrangements for them to perform this year and had several people who attended last year's concert ask when they would be here so we made it happen." The concert will benefit the Criterion Theatre and Arts Center in the Board's continuing campaign to bring the Theatre back to its original glory. The campaign has had some real boosts this year with celebrity interest and the community’s continued support. The Board is hoping that the long awaited new marquee will be in place for the Blue County concert. "My dream," said Swan "is for the Blue County concert to be the first name in lights on the new marquee. We have all waited so long for this to happen and the final product is going to be well worth the wait." Tickets are on sale at the Criterion box office and at The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty. General admission is $18.00 and Balcony tickets are $35.00.
